This website was designed to bring important information to its visitors quickly. Accomplishments made by the company are featured on the main page, along with contact information, to allow users to find what it is they are looking for quickly and without hassle. Research showed many people visited the website from mobile platforms, so a responsive design was crucial.
The existing logo had little visual interest, and did not grab viewers attentions. To fix this problem, I replaced the “A” with the recycling symbol. To get across not only the recycling aspect of the business, but it’s giving factor as well, I placed an open hand below the logo. The font is capitalized and has a thick stroke, both which help communicate solidarity and reliability.
The development of the website was broken down into several different steps. In Stage 1, a UI Design was created using wireframes. The rough draft shows where content will be placed in the final stages of development. In Stage 2 colors, as well as photos, and more specific content were added to the wireframes to give a more truthful representation of how the site will look once completed.
